Hammonds are pretty heavy instruments. According to Hammond, a B3, with bench and pedalboard packed for shipping by Hammond weighs 425 pounds (193kg). A console alone without bench and pedalboard weighs about 310 pounds (140kg).

How much do the individual parts weigh? In a B3, the preamp weighs about 15 pounds (7kg), the tone generator weighs about 45 pounds (20kg), the keyboard manuals each weigh about 48 pounds (22kg), and the case weighs about 125 pounds (57kg). The pedalboard weighs roughly 75 pounds (34kg).

Since a lot of the weight is in the actual inner workings of the organ, "Chopping" a Hammond doesn't save much weight.
